We thought that Alaska was fantastic, but after our day in Ketchikan, we are upgrading that to AMAZING! We were once again blessed with perfect weather. A float plane (Beaver) flight to the Misty Fjords was the highlight. I could insert about a hundred photos, but I will refrain from it. Hunter joined us (the rest of the B'Nalley's wimped out). The pilot was great...we hopped in the plane and off we went on an amazing 1 1/2 hour ride over the most stunning scenery we've ever seen. We had a brief landing in one of the many lakes and were able to get off the plane and get outside and breath in the air and scenery.....just incredible. It was hard to imagine that these lakes were frozen just about two weeks prior to this. Our guess is that this will be the main highlight of our entire vacation. A true once in a lifetime experience....although we hope to do it again someday.
